The Duo, in short

We were born musically as a duo in 2015, returning from a trip to Paris. Our love for poetry and music found an ideal meeting point in the Art Song: not only the German Lied, but also the mélodie française, as well as the Italian repertoire between the 19th and 20th centuries, which deserves to be rediscovered and enhanced.
Our concert programs and recordings come from this passionate work of research, rediscovering and interpretation: as a duo we released with Brilliant Classics two first complete recordings: Gian Francesco Malipiero: Complete Songs for Soprano and Piano (3 CDs, 2021), that enjoyed success with critics, and the recent album Pizzetti: Liriche, Complete Songs for Voice and Piano (3 CDs, 2025). In 2023, on the anniversary of the composer’s death, Alfredo Blessano edited the first Italian translation of Francis Poulenc’s Journal de mes mélodies (In Transito).
